Christina Beck
Max Planck Society
Dr. Christina Beck is Head of the Communication Department at the Max Planck Society, where she has been overseeing science communication, public relations, and corporate communications since 2015. Holding a doctorate in cell biology from the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), she transitioned from research into science policy and later joined the Max Planck Society’s press office, where she began as a science editor. During her tenure, she created the educational magazine series BIOMAX, GEOMAX, and TECHMAX and designed and implemented the award-winning school portal max-wissen.de, which connects cutting-edge scientific research with classroom teaching.

Tomáš Koblížek
Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences
Tomáš Koblížek is a researcher in the Department of Analytical Philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where he has served as deputy head since 2020. His work focuses on topics at the intersection of the philosophy of language, the philosophy of art, ethics, and political philosophy, such as hate speech, disinformation, propaganda, provocative artworks, censorship, and freedom of speech. He has been a visiting researcher at research centres at the École normale supérieure and CNRS in Paris, and he completed study stays at the University of Washington in Seattle and St Mary’s University College in London. He is a regular contributor to Czech Radio. In 2022, he received the Institute of Philosophy’s Award for Popularization, and in 2025 he was awarded the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences Award for the promotion or popularization of research, experimental development, and innovation.
