Science Communication 360°: A new conference for connecting science and society makes its debute
On February 6, 2025, the Science Communication 360° conference took place in Prague for the very first time, attracting a strong turnout from everyone working to bridge the worlds of science and the public. The event was organised by the Czech Academy of Sciences, Charles University, and the SciComHub platform.
In the morning, we met at the Czech Academy of Sciences building on Národní Street, and in the afternoon everyone moved to Kampus Hybernská, where the final networking session also took place.

A snapshot of the programme
The entire day was packed with inspiration. The conference opened with engaging talks by British geologist Iain Stewart and Czech sociologist Paulína Tabery, who introduced important topics and offered new perspectives on how and why we talk about science. The event was hosted by Daniel Stach. The programme continued with interactive workshops, media training sessions, legal consultations, and lively panel discussions focused on the challenges of science communication in times of crisis, strategy building, and sharing best practices.

The conference continues in 2026
The event demonstrated the value of sharing experiences across disciplines—and how strong a community can become when united by a commitment to making science accessible, accurate, and engaging for the public. And the best part? We’re continuing! Thanks to your enthusiasm, positive feedback, and the suggestions we received from you, we are pleased to confirm that the second edition of Science Communication 360° will take place in 2026. We are already working on a programme that will be even more diverse, in-depth, and open to new topics.
