Introducing the conference report from our second edition and revealing the theme of the next conference

We are delighted to present the conference report of the second edition of the Science Communication 360° conference. Spanning more than thirty pages, the publication brings together key insights from the talks and discussion forums, as well as practical experiences and perspectives on how institutions and the wider system can strengthen science communication. We hope you will find plenty of inspiration and ideas to apply in your own work. Read the report below (in Czech only).

We are also pleased to announce the date of the next edition. The conference will take place on Thursday, 4 February 2027, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, at the Jinonice Campus in Prague. Registration will open in early December. We will announce the exact date in advance, both by email and here on our website.

The third edition will explore the theme The Future of Attention. We will ask how to capture public interest in science in a world saturated with information and turn that interest into genuine understanding. Our focus will be on audiences and environments we are still learning to navigate: Generation Z and emerging media landscapes increasingly shaped by algorithms and artificial intelligence.

The morning programme will feature a keynote lecture and a panel discussion with young science communicators. In the afternoon, we will offer moderated discussions and interactive forums. The day will conclude with an evening programme providing opportunities for networking.

Organised for the third time by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University (FSV UK), the Czech Academy of Sciences and SciComHub, the event will once again bring together researchers, science communicators, PR professionals and science journalists, creating a space for mutual inspiration, sharing experiences and exploring new perspectives.

We wish you an inspiring read and look forward to seeing you at the next edition of the conference!
